Ledger.com/start is the official setup page for all Ledger hardware wallets. If you’ve purchased a Ledger Nano S Plus, Nano X, or any Ledger device, this is the only safe place to begin your wallet setup.
This page helps you install Ledger Live, initialize your device, and securely access your crypto assets with complete control.
When you visit Ledger.com/start, here’s what happens:
- Download Ledger Live
You’ll be guided to download Ledger Live, the official app for managing your crypto. It’s available for:
- Windows
- macOS
- Linux
- iOS
- Android
Ledger Live is your main control center for sending, receiving, buying, selling, and staking crypto.
- Connect Your Ledger Device
Plug your Ledger device into your computer or connect via Bluetooth (Nano X). Ledger Live will automatically detect it. - Choose Setup Option
You’ll select one of two options:
- Set up as a new device
- Restore from recovery phrase
- Set a PIN Code
Create a secure PIN to protect your device from unauthorized access. - Write Down Recovery Phrase
You’ll receive a 24-word recovery phrase. This is the most important part of your wallet security.
- Write it on paper
- Store it offline
- Never take a photo
- Never share it
This phrase is the only way to recover your assets if your device is lost or damaged.
- Ledger Login Ready
Once setup is complete, accessing your wallet is simple:
- Open Ledger Live
- Connect your device
- Enter your PIN
- Confirm on the device
